  1. Hi Thematitians, I'm not sure this is really a Thematic issue, but I'm pulling my hair out. I have a site that is throwing a big horizontal scroll that I cannot determine why it's happening. Highlighting even the HTML tag in Chrome's inspector shows it cutting off short of the right side of the browser window.

    If anyone would be so kind as to be an extra set of eyes to troubleshoot, it would be wonderful. the dev site is at notonsitexx.z69.sidhost.com or alt version at notonsitex.z66.sidhost.com

  2. easy fix for this is in your stylesheet put this, doesn't really solve the issue at it's core but it works

    html, body { overflow-x: hidden }

  3. i had that once b/c i had mistakenly put a positive text-indent on the blog-title that i was replacing w/ an image

    text-indent: 9000px;

    but i couldn't see anything of that nature when i looked at your site. i have to say i am stumped.

  4. Thanks for the input y'all...I'll try that overflow for now. It is a funky puzzler not to be able to isolate something that is pushing a layout around.

    Not absolutely sure of this, but I think it has something to do with the way .sf-menu is styled,

    .sf-menu {
        background: none repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
        border: medium none;
        float: left;
        left: 50%;
        padding: 0 5px;
        position: relative;
    }

    I removed the "position: relative;" and the scrollbar went away, but it sent the menu to the left of the screen. I ran out of time to fool with it in depth, but I would suggest you reset the menu styles back to default, see if the scrollbar disappears, then re-add your styling one at a time and see when the scrollbar reappears.

  7. good call oakview. that sf-menu doesn't look familiar. that is what i usually do when the proverbial shit hits the fan. isolate, isolate, isolate.
