After much work I created this website with thematic

    http://www.freedom2change.com/wordpress

I have a problem with the Home page permalink that makes me crazy:

The Home menu item points to
    http://www.freedom2change.com/wordpress/?page_id=121
and when I go to Edit the page it does have this exact permalink.

However, for some reason, clicking home on the menu (or manually browsing to http://www.freedom2change.com/wordpress/?page_id=121) brings up an empty wordpress page :(

Can anyone please help me fix this ?

    Thanks !

Not sure if I have grapsed your problem but in WP Dashboard Settings reading you set what the home page should be. It is either (default) your blogs or you set a static page. Assuming you have set a static page your home link will simply be http://www.freedom2change.com/wordpress with nothing more in the address.

Thanks for the answers but still can't solve this :(

sowingseeds - where exactly do I set this, I can't find this setting on the Dashboard ??

lastraw - if I go to appearance > menus I get 'The current theme does not natively support menus' and everything is disabled ...

    Can you help ?

I think your home page is set as by default to be your posts... so nothing to set in Settings -> reading.

I suspect you might not be using the latest thematic maybe 0.9.6.2 Get the latest version and it will support 3.0 menus and I am pretty sure everything will fall into place.

i agree w/ sowingseeds. thematic 0.9.8 supports 3.0 menus by default.

    Great, works now :)
Would have been easier if I could simply assign a new permalink to my homepage instead of needing to define a menu, anyways ...

Thank you for your help !
