    I want to implement the post thumbnail feature or wordpress v.9. I am using the Thematic Power blog child theme.

    I have added the following to my functions.php

    if ( function_exists( 'add_theme_support' ) ) { // Added in 2.9
    add_theme_support( 'post-thumbnails' );
        set_post_thumbnail_size( 150, 150, true ); // Normal post thumbnails
        add_image_size( 'single-post-thumbnail', 200, 9999 ); // Permalink thumbnail size
    }'

    I added the following code to content-extensions.php in the library/extensions of my thematic theme.
    '	$postmeta .= get_the_post_thumbnail();

    After this I am lost. Where do I get it to show the thumbnail?

  2. I didn't think that the thumbnail image would be part of postmeta... I though we would access this through thematic_content.

  5. I was able to implement the thumbnail feature in my Thematic Power Blog childtheme by adding this to my functions.php file and then adjusting the thumbnail size through the Admin panel of WP.

    I actually thought I had to do a lot more than this and wasted hours when all I needed was this...

    // Add Post Thumbnail Support
    // Make backwards compatible prior to WordPres v2.9
    if ( function_exists( 'add_theme_support' ) ) {
    add_theme_support( 'post-thumbnails' );
    }
