  1. I am using thematic with a child theme for my blog here:
    http://www.teddypancake.com/blog/

    For the top header I made a function in the functions.php page to load my header html into the thematic_header hook. I can't seem to figure out how to get rid of the outline around the header element. In my brower it looks like borders on only the bottom and right but it goes all the way around, the element is just positioned on the page in a way that the top and left borders are hidden. Any advice in getting rid of this outline is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

  3. by what i can see, you've added a table to your header.

    in the default.css for thematic its adds the following

    table {
        border:1px solid #ccc;
    }

    so thats what is probably doing it.

    so adding

    table {
        border:none;
    }

    will remove all borders from tables within your site.
    if you still want borders on tables elsewhere in your site, be more specific with the css above

    #header table {
        border:none;
    }

    hope this helps

  4. Thanks so much. I hadn't discovered all the style sheets in the library, yet. Oops. There was also a bottom border on the tr tag that I needed to change to none. But that fixed it. Thanks again.
