I apologize in advance, I am new to wordpress. I was able to rearrange the widgets when I first uploaded Thematic, but now it won't save when I do so. I attempted to add the RSS links and move it up under search, and also remove the Meta widget. Now it is not updating on the blog itself after I save.

Also, it looks like I have other sidebars available but when I add widgets to those sidebars, nothing happens.

Any guidance would be appreciated! Thanks so much!

  2. When you select a widget area using the dropdown, are you then immediately clicking "show"?

Yes. I select it, press show, add the widgets, and then save, and nothing happens. I am also unable to edit the main sidebar. It says "Primary Aside" and shows the widgets I added, but the blog is not reflecting the changes after I save.

  4. Which version of Thematic are you using? Is this happening with any other themes?

Thematic 0.6.3, downloaded from the WP website.

  8. I can't reproduce the problem: I downloaded 0.6.3 from wordpress.org and installed it on ThemeShaper. I then added the Recent Comments widget to the Secondary aside and it showed up. I added the Meta widget to the Page Bottom aside and it showed up.

I'm not sure what the problem could be.

  9. Are you using a caching plugin?

I don't think so. I didn't install wordpress but I don't think there is a caching plugin installed. Its odd because I was able to rearrange the elements at first, (not adding to the other sidebars but moving within the Primary Aside) and it worked fine, but then suddenly after I added the RSS links it stopped showing the changes. I removed the RSS link and it still hasn't changed.

Tried f5 refresh, tried viewing in firefox. Its odd.

Now I can edit the primary aside but I can't add anything to the other sidebars.

I currently have this problem. My settings are saved but not reflected in the sidebar. It's obviously a problem with a cache.
