    I am needing to remove the author and date for single pages. I have used wp-framework before, and it was simple to just remove that bit of code, and create templates for certain pages. But with Thematic, it seems very complicated.

    I ideal thing I want to happen is to have no author and date on individual portfolio pieces. But show them in the blog section.

    I'm no PHP master, but can figure certain stuff out, but this is way over my head.

    Hi Woody,

    If you want to remove those infos below the title, just paste this in your style.css :

    .single .entry-meta {
     	display: none;
     }

    I had thought about doing that, and will probably do that. But wanted to avoid display:none if at all possible. Just encase google swings the ban hammer for hidden content. Not that this will help search results much at all, would just rather play it safe.

    Interesting point ! I wasn't aware of this policy, I will have a look deep in it !

    For your request, this code in your functions.php file will do the trick :

    // Remove postheader infos on specific pages

    function my_postheader() {

        global $post;

        if ($post->post_type == 'page' || is_404() || is_single()) {
            $postheader = thematic_postheader_posttitle();
        } else {
            $postheader = thematic_postheader_posttitle() . thematic_postheader_postmeta();
        }

        return $postheader;
    } // end my_postheader

    add_filter('thematic_postheader','my_postheader');
