    Ok, for the life of me I can't figure out how to work the whole filter/action thing to be able to get rid of the date/time and author showing under the post title.

    I've tried out something like...

    function remove_post_author() {
    	remove_filter('thematic_indexloop', 'thematic_time_display');
    }
    add_action('init', 'remove_post_author');

    But that isn't working and I've tried multiple other variations with remove_action and what not. What am I doing wrong?

  2. Hi,

    try

    function no_postmeta() {}
    add_filter('thematic_postheader_postmeta', 'no_postmeta');

    Where would I add this. I'm not skilled with technical stuff so if you can be specific that would be great!
    Thanks a bunch,

  4. Hi jana,

    You would add this in your child theme's function.php file.

    I put it in there and saved it and it didn't change anything even after I refreshed the page. I'm using buddymatic...Here's what it looked like after I added it. Thanks for helping a newbie. Jana

    <?php
    function no_postmeta() {}
    add_filter('thematic_postheader_postmeta', 'no_postmeta');

    /*
    Access the framework actions and filters here
    */

    ?>

  6. Ah Buddymatic, yes you are putting it in the right place. Your problem may be that thematic has been released as a newer version than Ron has integrated into buddymatic and that hook doesn't exist in that theme.

    I believe that framework is still based off of thematic 0.9.5.1 Try changing the hook from thematic_postheader_postmeta to thematic_postheader and give it a whirl.

    Thanks...I switched back to Thematic and added it to my post.php and it worked. A huge accomplishment with your help!
    thanks!

  8. Yep, we may have missed it.

    Also, I would encourage anyone to use Thematic itself over Buddymatic, if they are not using the BuddyPress plugin.

  9. Would this work if I only wanted to have the postmeta on single pages?

    function childtheme_postheader_postmeta() {
    if (is_single()) {
    $postmeta = '<div class="entry-meta">';
    $postmeta .= thematic_postmeta_authorlink();
    $postmeta .= '<span class="meta-sep meta-sep-entry-date"> | </span>';
    $postmeta .= thematic_postmeta_entrydate();

    $postmeta .= thematic_postmeta_editlink();

    $postmeta .= "</div><!-- .entry-meta -->\n";
    }
    return apply_filters('thematic_postheader_postmeta',$postmeta);
    }
    add_filter('thematic_postheader_postmeta','childtheme_postheader_postmeta');

  10. Adopted from Viking Girl's Hide the postfooter meta data. Kills the Author and yada yada for me.

    function childtheme_override_postheader_postmeta(){
    //no bacon here

    }
