    I'd like to remove bullets from the sidebars. I've tried modifying sidebar.php with code from an earlier question here to no avail. Ideas? Suggestions?

  2. modifying sidebar.php (esp if you mean in the thematic folder) is not how you should go about building a child theme. and to get rid of the bullets it is sort of like killing an ant w/ an atom bomb.

    there is a css-only way. you should http://www.getfirebug.com to help you solve any future issues like this one.

    i used firebug to point at those bullets and learn that they come from:

    .aside ul ul {
    list-style:disc outside none;
    }

    so if this is in your child theme's style.css delete it. if it isn't there (maybe b/c you are importing default.css), then add

    .aside ul ul {
    list-style: none;
    }

    to overwrite it.

    Thanks so much for your recommendations and help.

    Curiously, I found this code elsewhere and added it to my style.css and it did nothing. Perhaps I am adding it to the wrong place? Any suggestions about where it should specifically go?

  5. Hi,

    Have you tried validating your stylesheet?

    Can you provide us a link?
