    Hello
    I just installed this fine theme and I am slowly getting to know it. However I can't get my way around the sidebar, maybe because I'm not familiar with the proper terminology. How do I get rid of the entire sidebar, inluding the grey square? I'm guessing it can be done in the widget control panel. But none of my experiment has been a succes. What do I do? Thank you!!

    Also - how can I change the color of the thin line and the color of the "page" text, preferably the active page text. Again - thanks!

  3. Hey,

    if you want to get rid of the the sidebar add the following code to your child theme's functions.php:

    // filter thematic_sidebar() .. no display at all
    function remove_sidebar() {
        return FALSE;
    }
    // Connect the filter to thematic_sidebar()
    add_filter('thematic_sidebar', 'remove_sidebar');

    Having now a lot of white space you might want to use it. Add the following code to your child theme's style.css:

    #container {
    	width: 960px;
    }

    #content {
    	width: 940px;
    }

    To change the text color for the current page item in your menu add the following code to your child theme's style.css:

    .sf-menu .current_page_item a,
    .sf-menu .current_page_ancestor a,
    .sf-menu .current_page_parent a {color: red;}

    Need to check for the line color, haven't done that for a current_page_item yet.

    Cheers,

    Chris

    THAT'S great! Thanks! Somehow I get this: <!--[endif]--> on two of my pages now, when I'm logged out?

  8. Delete thematic/library/languages/el.* or get the latest Thematic copy from the SVN.

    Cheers,

    Chris

    I'm sorry - there is no such file: thematic/library/languages/el.* ? Can you be more specific about what to do? Thanks!

  10. Mmmh .. never mind .. I searched through my Thematic directory to find that <!--[endif]--> .. and found that Greek language file .. could be something else ..

    Do you have a grep utility on your machine or a good editor (like PSPad or PHPdesigner) that can search and replace in files? You would need to search in the Thematic directory and in wp-content/plugins for <!--[endif]-->.

    Have you tried to copy something from an SVN? This was the reason why I had this string in that mentioned el.po, choose the wrong link, right-click, save-as and you got the page source instead of the file.

    Cheers,

    Chris
