So, I got this current site built without using wordpress as a cms and I would like to skin it using thematic. And I wondering if it is possible to do.

    http://www.rihealthright.org

I would like to keep everything as is, most notably the navigation. I can't seem to figure out how to get the navigation to be a drop down using superfish (though I would like to use my current code for the navigation). Also, I would like the client to be able to add new pages in the sections if need be.

And most importantly, instead of the client posting articles to update and add to the pages, I would prefer if they did it just by updating the pages (rather than posts) through the wp interface.

I think that this would be more intuitive since they would know which page they are updating rather than having to use categories or tags associated with new posts.

Please, if anyone has any extensive experience with wordpress and thematic, please advise me on how I can do this.

    Thanks!

Yep - it shouldn't be hard - you'll just need to apply the current css etc to Thematic.

Editing WP pages is easy, so you're clients should be fine (as long as you're not adding html etc directly to the page editor)

You can use your own nav scripts, jut filter out the current head scripts and add your own.. There's a ton of info on the forum to help you with this (as well as at themeshaper.com)
