What would your suggestions be as to the choice between thematic or the power blog. If i go with the more basic is it easy to upgrade? Or am i best going to the power blog to start with as upgrading could mess things up?

Is thematic easier to edit in anyway?
Is the Power Blog simply something with more options?

  2. Editing “Thematic” or “Thematic Power Blog” (TPB) is the same. Because if you want to properly edit Thematic, you should create a child theme (which is already included). TPB on the other hand is already a child theme of Thematic.

So there is no big difference. Except that TPB has a few extras (like even more widget areas and the category navigation), which add to the total amount of code. But if you need/want those extras anyway, then go for TPB. If the “basic” look and navigation of Thematic seem to suit you alright, go for that one.

  3. For what it's worth, I've found TPB to be a good tool for learning more about how to customize Thematic. The changes are subtle but helpful. TPB is inexpensive and a great way to jump start your work if you want to use Thematic. I was really glad I bought TPB, even though I ultimately have removed some of the changes it offers. Learning how your theme really works is invaluable, and TPB is perfect for that. My thoughts...

  4. I'm curious about TPB. Can anyone point me to some sites that have used it, so I can get a sense of what can be done with it?

  5. Why even bother yourself asking this question????????

Have good dough?! Then buy Thematic Power Blog! No question its a good theme!

Life is too short to have doubts, do it already! Be decisive and be determined!

    Don't wanna pay? Then don't!
