Thematic XML Parsing Error

  1. Hello! My name is John Ankarström.

    I use the Thematic Theme at http://softtype.se and I'm very happy with it :)
    But I've got a problem with my RSS-feed. Since I started using Thematic, it has been added a line too much in the RSS-feed.
    The usually first line, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8'>, has moved down to line 2, wich makes the line not validate as a RSS-feed.

    When I delete the line <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF"> the feed validates. But still I'm getting problems with posting from Blogo or Windows Live Writer if I delete it.

    Does anyone have a solution for this? It would have been great.
    Thank you.

    could you please check if header.php is starting with a blank line?

  3. I did some research before I asked you, and - nope.

    <?php thematic_create_doctype(); echo " "; language_attributes(); echo ">\n";?>
    <head profile="http://gmpg.org/xfn/11">
    <?php

    thematic_doctitle();
    thematic_create_contenttype();
    thematic_show_description();

    …and so on. No blank line.

  4. John .. could you send me a list of active plugins on your system. Currently I have no idea at all what's causing this problem.

    Disabled plugins one by one and nothing changed.

    Disabled my child theme functions.php and it validates properly.

    Digging through functions.php.

    I believe the problem somewhere in the code linked at this thread...

    Shouldn't have trusted a link ending in "the easy way" :)
