  1. I've scoured the wiki (http://themeshaper.com/thematic/guide/?page_id=10 and http://themeshaper.com/thematic/guide/?page_id=12) and printed the bluemandala structure cheat sheet (http://bluemandala.com/thematic/thematic-structure.html) but I have yet to find a list that includes stuff like 'thematic_postheader_postmeta'. Is there a list of thematic specific variables? '$postmeta' or '$content' perhaps? I've consumed so much information in such a short time that perhhaps I did look at such a list but overlooked it.

I'm changing my mind on filtering thematic_postheader_postmeta and now want to experiment with filtering the content itself. Do I assume that is thematic_postheader_postcontent?

  2. Hi,

except of a few variables (mostly options) Thematic works with filters.

Think I need to spend 2 hours a week to get the Theme Filters done.

'Til then I suggest that you look into thematic/library/extensions/content-extensions.php

    Hi Chris

Have you considered using something like the WordPress Hooks Database created by Adam Brown to cover Thematic's Hooks.

The approach used by Adam Brown seems relatively simple i.e. "WordPress hooks database automatically scans each WP build for apply_filters(), do_action(), and do_action_ref_array to figure out exactly which hooks are available in each version and where the hooks occur."

I suspect a lot of people using Thematic are trawling through thematic/library/extensions/content-extensions.php as you suggest. A Thematic Hooks database (with similar functionality to the WordPress hooks database) could help to make developing with Thematic easier & at the same time help provide a long-term, less labour intensive documentation solution for the Thematic developers.
