    I haven't moved any hooks but when I put the following in functions.php:

    <?php

    ///// HEADER /////

    function hookHeaderImg()
    {
    	?><a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>">
    		<img src="http://axiom-media.com/work/apex/wp-content/themes/apex/images/logo_apex.png" class="alignleft" alt="<?php bloginfo('name'); ?>" />
    	</a><?php
    }
    add_action('thematic_header','hookHeaderImg');

    ///// END OF HEADER /////
    ?>

    This happens:
    http://axiom-media.com/work/apex/

    According to http://visualizing.thematic4you.com/

    that positiong should have the hook "thematic_belowheader".

    Can somebody tell me why this is? Im' trying to do things the right way and not hard code the header image into the header.php in the parent theme.

    Thanks in advance for any help! :)

  2. your image is still inside the #header div, so that isn't the belowheader hook. to put something in the right place in thematic_header you also need a 'priority' number- or i think as you've just demonstrated it goes last. here is another visualization:

    priorities 1, 3,5,7 and 9 are all taken, so try 2,4,6,or 8 depending on where you'd like the image to show up in the markup.
