Don't know if others have this problem... upgraded to 3.3 and unable to add a new widget to the sidebar. Can add back a widget that was previously removed but saved with its settings. Problem is simply new widgets do not 'stick'. Can begin the process of deactivating but asking first if there was a prob with 3.3 and thematic child theme in this way.

  2. Hi SowingSeeds -

About eight installations of Thematic child themes on 3.3 here with no problems. WP core team did some upgrades to how the system "remembers" widgets so when you change themes it recalls where and how you used them. Probably this upgrade is interfering with either a poorly written plugin, or maybe something in your child functions.php file. I don't believe it's a Thematic based provblem. You could also try switching to another them, then back to your child theme to see if that might clear the problem, but as you suspect, process of elimination may be your best resort.

A plugin conflict. If others have this problem and they have podpress installed check that out. Seems can disable podpress then make the changes to the widgets and re-activate podpress.
