WP Editor Content templates in thematic?

    Hi,
    While reading up and experimenting with the new Custom Post Types, I also chanced upon Content Layout templates for the WP Editor, and for one of my projects it seemed like a perfect idea (better than the custom post type- route).

    (While this is not a Thematic specific issue per se, I thought discussing it here might be good for people who want to give it a try and also help me find more thoughts and solutions on it) There might be others who have tried it; and it will good to know their experiences and solutions/fixes.

    While the solution works well for the main content area, I haven't been able to incorporate the sidebar in it. Here is how I implemented it:

    ** This goes into functions.php **
    add_filter('default_content','custom_editor_content');
    add_editor_style('editor-style-dest.css');

    function custom_editor_content( $content ) {
    global $current_screen;
    if ( $current_screen->post_type == 'post') {

    $content = '

    <div id="custom-wrap">

    </div>
    ';
    }
    return $content;
    }

    ***
    Notice the custom css file link here, thats what helps you style the content boxes in the Edit screen.

    We can add whatever code and divs we want, and they get parsed so in out style.css we can style the front-end with them.

    Some links for more info->

    Here and here.

    Hope this is useful.
