  1. In the child theme I'm developing from thematic, the "Your comment is awaiting moderation" that appears above a comment is the exact same normal type style as the comment just below - so is therefore hard to see.

I know how to change the type style in a way that changes all the text in the comment box. How do I just change the font-style of "Your comment is awaiting moderation?"

I could not find this phrase in style.css or comments.php so I don't know where to look.

    Thanks in advance.

And thanks to Ian and this whole support community for the thematic framework. Before March, 2009, I have never done anything at all with CSS, and now I'm designing a theme, with a goal of having a blog that is very easy to read.

I'm almost done. It's I'll be posting beyond test content starting next week.

  2. Hey, for styling that, you could use the class "unapproved". I've posted a comment on your site and then I've took a look at the code and "unapproved" is the class of the span conatining "your comment is awaiting moderation".
    hope it helps.

  3. Solved!

If you don't mind my asking, what tool(s) did you use to find the location of "your comment is awaiting moderation" and that the class was "unapproved" ?

  5. Thanks very much for your help! Will install Firebug Monday. Hopefully, the Wordpress CSS editor won't seem primitive thereafter.
