    Hello, is there way to take out the original menu with thematic and insert it again, but use different classes/divs for styling purposes.

    If I am using a child theme I don't like having to change every single value in my stylesheet or it defaults back to the original stylesheet.

    If it has:
    .sf-menu ul {
    border-right:1px solid #ccc;
    border-bottom:1px solid #ccc;
    }

    On my childtheme stylesheet I can't just go in and start styling the way I want with a blank .sf-menu ul {}. I have to go in and set border-right: 0; and so on to get what I want.

  2. @Dustin: The styling for the menu is in default.css, and as I have learnt from this forum, you can simply copy the code from there across to your childtheme stylesheet, and take out the line that imports default.css into your childtheme.
