Is it possible to use layers in the header? On another of my sites I'm using the "div z-index" to have a image with transparent background with the site name (to be able to use a nifty font) on top of another image used as a background. Is that possible with a child theme for Thematic?

  2. Hi,

    can be done.

Take a look at the Theme Hooks.

You would need to remove the action that needs to be changed from thematic_header(). Create your own one containing the necessary code and hook this to thematic_header().

    I'll look into it. Thanks.

  4. How was this resolved?

I wish to layer an image that connects to the header outside my sidebar as a table.

It is easy to use a wrapper, but it will not flow above other elements.
