  1. Hi,

    I just tried to make a new widget above the leader asides, but it did not work. It did add a new widget to the list but maybe it is not possible in this area.

    here is my code

    // This will create your widget area
    function large_widgets_init() {
    'name' => 'Above LeaderAside',
    'id' => 'above-leaderaside',
    'before_widget' => '<li id="%1$s" class="widgetcontainer %2$s">',
    'after_widget' => "\n",
    'before_title' => "<h3 class=\"widgettitle\">",
    'after_title' => "</h3>\n",

    add_action( 'init', 'large_widgets_init');

    // adding the widget area to your child theme
    function large_sidebar_widgets() {
    if ( function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') && is_sidebar_active('above-leaderaside') ) {
    echo '<div id="above-leaderaside" class="aside">'. "\n" . '<ul class="xoxo">' . "\n";
    echo '' . "\n" . ''. "\n";
    echo '' . "\n" . '</div><!-- #above-leaderaside .aside -->'. "\n";
    add_action('thematic_above-leaderaside', 'large_sidebar_widgets', 0);

    in case it is not possible, how can i put something between the main menu and the leader asides when using a child theme ? I have a page-template but placing before <?php get_header() ?> makes it appear too high up and placing after makes it appear below the leader asides.

    here is what i'm trying to do I'd like the large panorama to appear before the leader asides, instead of just after :)

    Sorry to be a pain, must say I am having so much fun with this theme and the help on the forum is excellent so many many thanks !

    cheers in advance,

  2. Hey Tom,

    pretty good .. only thing that needs a tiny change is your last line:

    add_action('thematic_belowheader', 'large_sidebar_widgets', 5);

    thematic_belowheader is the action hook
    large_sidebar_widgets is your function
    5 is the priority

    The leader asides are integerated with Prio 6 .. so using a lower one moves your function in front of leader asides.
