  1. First of all, I'm sure this has been asked and resolved before but I can't find anything by searching. If anyone can point me to relevant posts, please do ;-)

I have a page and I would like to use the page content as an introduction and follow it with the posts from a specific category, and also paginate the posts. Ideally I would like to do this using a shortcode to show the posts and specify their category.

I'm comfortable with shortcodes but I cannot find a clean way to show the posts with pagination on a page while retaining the original page content.

    Any help would be fantastic.

  2. idk for sure, but i would probably start by creating a new template that attempts to merge the standard page template w/ the thematic included template-page-blog.php

  3. Note: template-page-blog.php is not included with (the current release) . You will need the latest svn or stable dev release to get that template file.

  5. If I said "soon" again would you believe me. The new and changing theme review guidelines for the official WP repo have been the cause of the extended release cycle. Honestly, I don't know when it'll hit the presses. It should be landing in the review queue again any day now and then it's a matter of how long the queue is.

A lot of work has gone into the new release and I for one will be extremely happy when we can move on to a new set of support issues and leave the bugs that have been addressed in the behind.
