  1. Hi,

I need to translate the system phrases like "Published" and "Posted in". What I did after reading various articles on the issue was:

    1) Downloaded the relevant .mo and .po files (da_DK.mo, da_DK.po)
    2) Uploaded those files to /wp-content/languages/
    3) Changed: 'define ('WPLANG', '');' to: 'define ('WPLANG', 'da_DK');' in my wp-config.php file

Now my admin pages are in Danish alright, but I still get the English system phrases on my blog.

Is the above procedure only for changing the interface language, not the blog language? How do I accomplish the latter?

    Thanks,
    Lasse

  2. I'm no expert at translation, but it's true that the above procedure is only for changing the interface language in WordPress. What you need is a translation of Thematic, but I really don't know if Thematic offers this capability, and if it does, if it's been translated into any other languages.

Maybe Ian or Chris could answer this one?

  3. Hi Lasse,

the da_DK.* files are in the SVN repository. You need to copy these files to thematic/library/languages.

  4. @Chris: But this will still affect only the admin interface, not what the readers see, right?

  5. Not only the admin interface .. will affect the frontend as well.
