    [Sorry for the duplicate post]

    Working on a test site and I upgraded Thematic to and the menus are completely gone.

    I tried inserting the functions listed in the sticky post:

    function childtheme_menu_args($args) {
        $args = array(
            'show_home' => 'Home',
            'sort_column' => 'menu_order',
            'menu_class' => 'menu',
            'echo' => false
        return $args;
    add_filter('wp_page_menu_args','childtheme_menu_args', 20);

    Nothing. No menus at all.

    Then another post in that thread said to use this to mimic (or use) the WP custom menus:

    function change_menu_type() {
    return 'wp_nav_menu';
    add_filter( 'thematic_menu_type', 'change_menu_type' );

    Nothing. Even though I have a 'Home' menu defined in WP admin.

    This is a brand new install of WP 3.0.5 although I started with Thematic and then upgraded through WP admin.

    What am I missing here?

    I just deactivated the few I had running and no change...

    But, I think the culprit may be this function that adds the search to the menu bar:

    function search_access() { ?>
            <div id="access">
                <div class="skip-link"><a href="#content" title="<?php _e('Skip navigation to the content', 'thematic'); ?>"><?php _e('Skip to content', 'thematic'); ?></a></div>
                <?php wp_page_menu('sort_column=menu_order') ?><div id="down-arrow"><img src=""></div>
     			<div id="access-cart">
                <div id="access-search">
                    <form id="searchform" method="get" action="<?php bloginfo('home') ?>">
                            <div id="search-text"><input type="text" size="27" tabindex="1" onblur="if (this.value == '') {this.value = 'Search posts, pages, archives';}" onfocus="if (this.value == 'Search posts, pages, archives') {this.value = '';}" value="Search posts, pages, archives" name="s" id="s">
                            <div id="input-search"><input type="submit" id="searchsubmit" value="Go" /></div>
            </div><!-- #access -->
    <?php }

    Won't this need to be updated in some way to utilize the new menu calls? I'm guessing integrated with the first function in my post above...

    Maybe taking out the "remove access function" might help. Resolved. :)
