protecting custom pages against Thematic upgrades

    Ian - do you have any suggestions for managing custom pages with Thematic? For example, I have custom 404 and a complicated site-index page (lists all posts by categories). Is there anything I can do to make updating these easier when Thematic changes?

    Until 2.7 arrives you can use WordPreciousss to load your custom templates or override Parent templates from your Child Theme.
